About
So, let me guess.
You wouldn’t exactly call your blog “popular,” right?
You don’t have a huge audience … but you do care about the readers you have, and you do care about creating really good content.
You write a great post — the kind of exceptional content that builds a relationship with your customers. You publish it to your blog. You wait for the visitors to come stampeding in, and …
Nothing happens.
No comments. No tweets. No pats on the back, telling you you’re doing a good job.
In the great cacophony we call the blogosphere, you go unnoticed, unappreciated, and unloved. Not because your ideas are unworthy, but because it’s just too damn crowded.
Your little voice gets swallowed up, almost like you never said anything at all.
And it’s starting to piss me off
The web is overflowing with spammers and trolls pumping the blogosphere full of junk and getting rewarded for it. While here you are, an intelligent, articulate person, publishing ideas that could actually help people, and nobody knows who the hell you are.
It’s wrong.
And after years of watching from the sidelines, writing for huge blogs like Copyblogger, I’ve finally decided to do something about it:
I want to teach you everything I know about building a popular blog.
Yep. Everything.
I started Boost Blog Traffic to teach you how to get more readers, build your email list, become an authority in your niche — everything you need to get the attention you deserve.
By the time we’re done, you won’t be a spectator in the battle for attention, squeaking out your posts and praying for a couple of retweets.
You’ll be a warrior, armored with marketing know-how, brandishing your perfectly-crafted content, sending spammers scampering by the thousands as you claim your rightful spot at the top of the web.
I’ll train you. And not to be arrogant, but I’m one of the biggest bad asses on the web.
Hello, my name is Jon Morrow
The first thing you should know about me is I have voice-activated shotguns embedded in my wheelchair, and I’m not afraid to use them.
Okay, not really, but I’m almost that cool.
You see, I have a type of muscular dystrophy called SMA, and over the years, it’s slowly stolen my ability to move anything but my face (read this for more info). I’m writing to you now with a microphone and speech recognition software called Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
Aside: You can watch an entire video about the speech recognition stuff here. Just be aware that the sweater makes me look fatter than I actually am.
But the really cool part?
I live in freaking Mexico.
On the beach.
In a private resort.
Catered to by a staff of nurses, maids, cooks, and other assorted minions.
It’s the ultimate lifestyle, at least to me, and I’ve built it entirely through blogging. You can read the whole story here.
Granted, I can’t take all the credit. My family, friends, and colleagues have been a huge part of it.
Speaking of colleagues…
In addition to running Boost Blog Traffic, I’m also the Associate Editor of Copyblogger, which isn’t an actual job, by the way. I write for them, bring them a steady flow of talented writers, and generally do what I can to make the site more popular, and in exchange, they support my endeavors and give me a sweet title.
I have, unquestionably, gotten the better end of the deal.
Without Copyblogger, I would probably be stuck in a nursing home somewhere, being spoonfed vanilla pudding and watching Jerry Springer reruns. Instead, I get up every day and connect with hundreds of thousands of awesome readers all across the world, and for this, I will always be grateful, forever and ever, Amen.
But enough about me. Let’s talk about you.
You came here because you want more traffic, right?
Well, I want to help you, and here’s why:
I know what it’s like to be ignored. Not only online, but also in real life, where people routinely shoved me aside because they thought a kid in a wheelchair had nothing of value to contribute.
The same thing happens online. You’re ignored, not because you lack smarts or experience or passion, but because you don’t look like you deserve attention.
The truth though?
You do deserve it.
You are smart.
Your passion does matter.
The only thing holding you back is a lack of understanding about how the game is played, and yes, blogging is a game. There are winners, and there are losers, and frankly, if you’re still reading this, you’re probably losing.
But that stops right now.
You and me, we’re going to turn it around. Together.
All you have to do is subscribe, and let me teach you what I know. Fill out the form below, and I’ll email you about once a week with new tips and tricks you can put into practice immediately.
Oh, and by the way, it’s totally free.
